Witnessing History: Queen's Day 2013

Today is a very special day for my country and although it doesn’t have anything to do with Lolita, I am going to blog about it anyway. Because today we are witnessing history in the Netherlands! Our queen, queen Beatrix, abdicates today and her son, prince
Willem-Alexander, becomes king of the Netherlands! I wasn’t born when princess Beatrix became queen Beatrix, so this will be my first coronation! I am writing this the day before this entry gets posted, so at this moment I am very curious as to how this special day will be celebrated. I do know I will walk around in my orange shirt all day (orange is the colour of the royal family) and I will watch the coronation on television. This will be our very last Queen’s day, because from next year we will have King’s day! So whether you're celebrating or not:

HAPPY QUEEN’S DAY EVERYONE!!!
